Published in 1949, this book is intended to help children learn the piano. Charts at the beginning of this book show that alternate notes, all the way up the keyboard, fall into a pattern. That pattern is GBDF and ACE, the name of this book. Pupils learn to read music easily and accurately when the sequence is recognized and used.

This book is used, with some cover wear, mostly creasing and soiling to back cover. The binding is tight. There is writing on many of the pages, mostly pencil - a few "teacher" notations in ink.

Page 17: The page number is circled, and the date Nov. 19 written above it in ink.
Page 22: The dates Nov. 12 and Nov 19, and the word TRY! written in ink.
Page 27: The page number is circled in ink, and the date Nov. 26 is written in pencil. Also written in pencil:
