Published in 1949, this book is intended to help children learn the piano. Charts at the beginning of this book show that alternate notes, all the way up the keyboard, fall into a pattern. That pattern is GBDF and ACE, the name of this book. Pupils learn to read music easily and accurately when the sequence is recognized and used.

This book is used, with some cover wear, mostly creasing and soiling to back cover. The binding is tight. There is writing on many of the pages, mostly pencil - a few "teacher" notations in ink.

Page 17: The page number is circled, and the date Nov. 19 written above it in ink.

Page 35 has a good deal of penciled notations, "OK", "Once More", "3 Sept. 74" and "27 Aug. 74" which has a line drawn through it. "Evenly and Slowly" (looks like a child's writing), "Once More 10 Sept. 74", "Count Out Loud 1 2 3". The song title is circled in pencil.
